Each round is loaded with a 40-grain round nose bullet, a standard weight that provides a balanced blend of velocity and impact, with muzzle velocity running 1,060–1,085 fps and 104.9 ft-lb of energy — enough authority to reliably knock down the biathlon target while staying consistent shot after shot. A paraffin wax lubricant reduces friction and enhances barrel life, a detail that matters over the high round counts biathlon training demands.
