The .40 S&W was never loved by the twinkle berries. IT was too loud, it recoiled too much and the average person who was supposed to qualify with it couldn’t. Never mind that it was far superior to most other calibers as a compromise and Self defense weapon. Hornaday makes Critical Defense ammunition. And in .40 caliber, it is 10% better than the 9MM. That is the Critical Difference in expansion, in impact strength and in you surviving the gunfight.
