I have been able to use this

So my range doesnt not care about steel case as long as the actual projectile is 100% lead with copper jacket and not bi-metal mix of soft steel and magnetic. This ammo is fine for shooting indoors. If you have an indoor range that doesnt allow it - it is because they are too lazy to put a magnet on the end of a stick to collect the steel cases.
This stuff was fine to shoot up to 75-125 ft in indoor ranges.
Since AK's love steel case, this has done well. The ammo thats beat this however is the IgMan.

Ammo is fine, “range safe” isn’t exactly accurate…

Many (majority) of ranges don’t allow steel cased ammo, even if the bullet is copper/no steel core. FYI!
