The ARO-EVO is Holosun’s latest evolution of the Advanced Rifle Optic line, built around an all-new 26mm housing that delivers a noticeably larger sight picture than the original ARO. This SPR variant is engineered for precision-focused shooters who want fast close-range acquisition and genuine holdover capability at extended distances, all in one enclosed, rugged package.
The SPR reticle system features a 1.5 MOA center dot with 1 MOA holdovers, a 65 MOA circle, and ranging references for fast decisions at distance, and the BDC optimization is calibrated for M193 5.56 ammunition at 3050 fps, giving practical, repeatable holds for intuitive bullet drop compensation at extended range. Multi-reticle system functionality lets shooters pick the aiming point that fits the moment — running the dot alone for speed, the circle-dot combo for target transition, or the full BDC ladder when distance and precision take priority.
Power management is where the ARO-EVO really separates itself from a standard reflex sight. A side-mounted CR2032 battery provides up to 50,000 hours of runtime, backed by Solar Failsafe and Shake Awake motion activation with last-setting recall, and brightness runs across 8 daylight and 4 night-vision-compatible settings for a total of 12 levels, automatically adjusting to ambient light so the dot stays visible without shooters fumbling for a manual control. Parallax-free aiming and unlimited eye relief round out the optical side, keeping the sight picture consistent regardless of head position behind the gun.
Built to hold up to real use, the housing is constructed from rugged 6061-T6 aluminum, finished in hard anodized matte black, and rated IPX8 waterproof, capable of operating in temperatures from -30°C to 60°C. It ships with both a 1.63″ lower 1/3 co-witness mount and a 1.05″ low mount, giving shooters flexibility to match mounting height to their rifle setup right out of the box.
