The MOD 1-C variant, produced by Black Hills Ammunition, is a civilian-legal clone of the military-issue MK 262 MOD 1—using the exact same projectile, loading specifications, and performance benchmarks, but packaged in a commercial-grade, consumer-accessible format. Black Hills 5.56 MK 262 Series is packaged in boxes of 20 Rounds or Cans of 460 Rounds.

The open tip match projectile features a lead core and outer copper jacket with a small open tip.
