This is considered some of the finest defensive ammo out there, and I’d be a fool to argue against that. Shoots nicely out of my SAR9 and Shield Plus. The .380 variant does great in my Bodyguard 2.0 and Security 380. As always, run a box or two through your firearm before you commit to trusting your life with any particular round — your gun, even the same model(s) as mine, might not like the same ammo mine does. “Trust, but verify!” Velocity had the best price around, and shipping was free and fast; I will definitely shop here again for future ammo purchases.

Velocity is amazing, they ship super fast and have excellent customer service. Federal HST makes the absolute best self defense ammo available today. I have been using it for over 10 years now. It is the only defensive ammo I will carry. I have seen many ballistic gel tests and comparisons and the HST's have not been beat yet. They are always consistent and perform as intended, expansion and penetration has always been perfect in every test I have seen. No other round available has been able to match it yet. There is no difference between the Law Enforcement version and civilian version other than the size of the box. The LE version is definitely the better value, per round cost.
